AT-R02A: Full Day: Rafting – Padas River

 

Duration: Full Day

Padas River is situated in the interior of southwestern part of Kota Kinabalu that is only accessible by train (used since the late 19th century in Borneo). This trip does not only give you the adventure of Grade 3-4 river-ride but also a uniquely ride in an antique train. This ride covers a distance of 9 km of this rather muddy 200 km river that hold 7 exciting and tough rapids namely; Merry-Go-Round Rapid, Break Point Rapid, Scooby Doo Rapid, Cobra Rapid, Curve Rapid, Lambada Rapid and Head Hunter Rapid. Each rapid will give you the feel of the motion as what the name means.

ITINERARY: (Note: Meals are own arrangement – unless stated)

Meet at hotel lobby at 0730 hours and depart for Beaufort, located 2½ hours away to the south of Kota Kinabalu. Then take a train ride at 1000hrs from Beaufort to the rafting starting point. Upon arrival at the starting point, a briefing on safety procedure and also rafting gears will be conducted. The rafting route takes about 1½ hours to complete. At the end-point, change your wet clothes, have Bar-B-Q lunch by the river and take a transfer back to Kota Kinabalu.                      END OF SERVICE.

 

AT-R03A: Full Day: Rafting – Liwogu Kawananan River

 

Duration: Full Day

Meet at the reception area by 0700 and make a scenic drive for 2 hours to Luanti Kampung Stay. By 0930 proceed to the starting point of the rafting adventure. The rafting activity estimated to start at 1030 and lasts for 2 hours (depending on the water level). Liwogu Kawananan River gives you the adventure of Grade 3-4 river-ride.

Apart from the thrill and excitement of riding the roaring rapids, it also gives you an opportunity to enjoy a closer encounter of the rainforest and interesting countryside. At the ending point, a local packed lunch is provided. Then return to Luanti to experience a unique and fascinating ‘fish massage’. By 1500 make a return journey to Kota Kinabalu (ETA 1700) OR to Kota Kinabalu International Airport (ETA 1730) for a return flight departing after 1930. END OF SERVICE.
